Artists Selection and Tracks Ordering: M S Torabally
Hello everyone... before we get to the Digital release of "Evoke Vastness" via Humming Frequencies, 01st thing 01st, please allow me to give you a small break down on the EVOKE VASTNESS ( LIVE EVENT ) that took place from the 31st of December 2016 to the 02nd of January 2017. With that in mind... upfront I have to admit, I am absolutely stunned with the numbers and the responses we've received. To Be Noted A: The below statistic doesn't include Humming Frequencies Digital Release Promotion ( that's a different game all together ). And B: The total number of views and the total number of watched-hours is based on 3 DAYS ONLY, ( which I personally think is simply mind-blowing ).
So Here Comes The NUMBERS:
3.3K Shares ( Number Of Shares / Invites Sent )
1.3K Views ( Number Of People Who Tuned In )
800 Hours watched ( Number Of Hours Watched By Total Number Of Visitors )
In 40 Countries Around The Globe ( Number Of Countries Who Viewed The Live Event )
Now this is what I would call an EXCELLENT collaboration effort. Million thanks goes to Daniel Dorobanthu ( for all the STUNNING HD / 1080 px GRAPHICS ), major KUDOS to our dear friend Atilla Lukinich ( for the AMAZING MASTERING JOB ), a nice pat on the back ( to all CONTRIBUTED ARTISTS ) which without, this sincere journey wouldn't be possible and needless to say ( a warm and HUMBLE BOW ) to all visitors and listeners who took the time to share this event and inviting their friends and families. So again... Thank You Thank You Thank You.
This journey has been such a delightful one, the responses we've received are so positive that we are actually looking at running / curating another live event towards the end of 2017 rolling to 2018. Humming Frequencies - Evoke Vastness preparation's ( in terms of tracks collection from various artists ) took around 8 Weeks. If we've managed to achieve such results in such limited time, imagine what we can achieve in a 1 Year preparation. All said we are still in the discussion phase on this one but more communication will follow in due time guys. Last but not least ALL VIDEOS for Humming Frequencies - Evoke Vastness will be uploaded to my YOUTUBE CHANNEL ( this might take a bit of time as the videos are in HD and are massive in size but rest assure all videos will be uploaded though ).

While the band earlier records manage to keep you focus through fluctuating complexities, Film Noir emphasizes more on the reverberant aspects that they had touched on past releases. The previous releases by AUTISM mainly leans towards an atmosphere that creates a sense of curiosity, drawing you closer to a meaningful conclusion upon every listen. Each time the band unravels a secret, that meaningful conclusion you have formed in your mind suddenly changes. With this new release AUTISM straight approach is more of a direct kick. It’s like a bold statement from the band stating you either like what we do or you don’t. There is no in between or confusion but either way there shall be no arguments. That being said, there is a diversity of breath-taking moments to be discovered from Film Noir. Even the slightest strum of a sting guitar or the littlest switch in the music’s articulation from a quiet atmosphere to a breath-taking / monumental noise arena, the compositions are slammed in the right direction on every sequence and ( that alone ) drives listeners to an experience that is nothing but ecstatic!
The opening track on this new release ‘Alive and Torn’ clocks just over two-and-a-half minutes and as an opening movement to an album ironically named Film Noir, I could not ask for any better. The track pertains to a special sense of urgency, almost making it impossible not to wait for the second piece to kick in. Given the band releases over the past years, I personally think it is safe to say that since 2012, AUTISM has been forging some of the most brutal yet dynamic and alarmingly gorgeous instrumental Post-rock sound with Spoken Lyrics. In addition to several national tours and the consistency towards impeccable distortions, the band has earned sizeable and heart-felt international followers. Film Noir, is AUTISM fourth release and clearly the tactical move of taking a few steps back in order to be able to jump a little further has worked out perfectly for them. As a result, Film Noir captures the band at its most impressive, acuminate, and utterly powerful form, displaying an uplifting harmony and accredited sense of song-writing, tonal complexity, and studio prowess.
In a nutshell, this latest album by AUTISM beautifully titled Film Noir is simply awesome in and out, as if by sound and by design. The combinations of textured post-rock noise with delicate yet brooding atmospheric elements creates a broader sound than any other post rock bands that I have heard this far. I think many people can testify to this but for those who do not know me; I have been a post-rock fan for as long as I can remember. To sums up, although Film Noir is indeed comparable to the likes of This Will Destroy You, pg.lost, jaKob and Red Sparowes I can easily say that to a fair extent this album stands alone against the well-known / the obvious post-rock outfit out there. This album in particular holds its own signature. AUTIMSM have created their own unique blend of sound that ignites a specific emotion and brighten the air up in an average 45 minutes riffing’s. This type of music definitely targets a certain type of listeners but that in mind there is a little something for everyone on this Seven Tracks Album. ( An album I would not miss at any cost ).
Started in 2013 AUTISM appeared as a one-man-band studio project; thanks to Lithuanian based Tomhet. AUTISM released its first mini album “Falling Motions“ followed by its debut title “The Crawling Chaos”, both within the same year since the project was launched. As time passes and like many other projects that started as a one-man outfit, Tomhet was joined by a bunch of other fellow musicians, namely: Karolis (guitar), Gediminas (bass guitar) and Domantas (drums). Since April 2016 the project has officially become a real gigging band with a more, defined and concrete line-up.
